WAIT STAFF

Lao18 restaurant is looking for talented and experienced servers to join our team. Lao18 is a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide our guests with the best possible dining experience by maintaining the highest standards of service possible. An essential role is to observe your guests during their meal, and feel that they are satisfied with their experience.
• Inform manager on duty to take prompt action if you feel that guests are not satisfied. You should aim to give the best possible service, in the least obtrusive manner.
• Welcome guests and seat them with care (assisting with tables and chairs, etc.) and provide friendly, courteous and professional service at all times Escort the guest to their destinations (table, bathroom, exit, etc.) and always allow guest to pass first.
• Take orders and enter into the POS system.

FOOD RUNNERS

Lao18 restaurant is looking for food runners.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Do all assigned pre shift duties to the required standard and attend the daily briefings and make note of any daily specials and limited availability.
• Clean all the tables and chairs
• Polish all the cutlery and glasses
• Help with the stock count
• Stock up the restaurant for the shift (glasses, cutlery, china, condiments, napkins, tea cups, tea pots, sugar bowls, black cloths, trays, etc.)
• Perform daily cleaning jobs assigned to you
• Check all the menus and replace if required (covers and inserts)
• Clean and stock up the pass sections (sauces, cutlery, china, condiments. etc.)
• Learn the menu and order of service as you go
• Attend the training sessions and read training notes to improve your knowledge
• Give constant feedback to managers
• Observe guests during their meal, and make sure they feel that they are satisfied with their experience at Lao18. Inform manager on duty to take prompt action if you feel that guests are not satisfied

• Take the food to correct tables or destinations
• Alert the section waiter to serve food
• Learn the names of all dishes, and subsequently attend food training to learn all ingredients and cooking methods
• Escort the guests to their destinations (table, bathroom, exit, etc.) Always allow a guest to pass first, never cross their path
• If guests speak to you, or ask a question, ensure they are attended to by a waiter or manager immediately
• Assist waiters to clear the tables wither when you are coming back from running the food to tables or whenever a waiter requests it
• Alert the waiters or managers when necessary about; spillage on the floor, intruder in the building, etc.

• Run the drinks to the correct tables or destinations
• Serve the drinks according to seat numbers on system docket
• Learn the names of all the drinks (especially our cocktails), and subsequently attend relevant training
• Serve all drinks in an appropriate style: for instance, ladies first and pouring from bottles as instructed
• Assist waiters to clear tables when you are coming back from running the drinks or when a waiter requires

Lao18 is looking for motivated bussers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Perform all assigned duties as detailed in your opening, afternoon and closing checklists.
• Attend pre-shift briefings and any scheduled meetings as directed by management.
• Learn the section plan, memorize section names, table and position numbers; know the capability of the tables in each section.
• Perform daily cleaning jobs assigned to you in a thorough and timely manner.
• Ensure that all the necessary stock is being replenished during the shift.
• Clean tables, chairs, restaurant floors, walls, woodwork, furniture, shelves, inside and outside of side stations and any other areas of the restaurant as specified on your checklists thoroughly and on a daily basis.
• Clean guests bathrooms, ensure that the sinks, mirrors, toilets, floors and walls are clean and that the toilet paper, hand soap and paper towels are stocked fully.
• Set tables in good time and to specified standard.
• Clean the tools and work surfaces you use (black cloths, sinks, shelves, and surfaces, cupboards, etc.) throughout your shift as needed.
• Clean and dry spillages immediately upon occurrence; never leave spills unattended.
• Move furniture as directed by management, including but not limited to tables, chairs, bar stools, banquettes, bar tables, boxes, equipment, etc.
• Clear guest tables after each course and reset with appropriate settings. Wipe tabletops clean.
• Ensure that floor/banquette are clean at all times.
• Reset tables quickly and efficiently.
• Serve water to guests and continuously top off waters.
• Polish and restock server stations.
• Polish all silverware continuously throughout service.
